Designing Glass with Light Rays

There’s nothing quite as beautifully-pleasing as soft early morning sunlight filtered through a stained glass window. Creating prisms of gorgeous colors as light streams through its artistry, stained glass adds to a room like no other decorative element can – by exploiting nature’s truest form of light: the sun. By both filtering the glare, and utilizing the light, the art of stained glass creates beauty and relaxation within any room that is bathed in light. With the belief that the play of light rays can be unique within a home, and even room to room, stained glass artist Sue Thomas works with each of her client’s to take full advantage of the light in a specific room to create her custom designs.

This unique approach to design is why her creations literally continue to shine and stand out from the average stained glass window manufacturer in Denver and the rest of Colorado. Sue visits her clients in their homes to gain a knowledgeable perspective to just how light rays play within the room and the type of light that streams through the window. Working with the client’s taste and personality, Sue gauges what will work best with consideration to whether the window space in question gets morning or afternoon light, or whether the room is on the North or South side of the house. Her 20+ years of experience designing hundreds of stained glass panels and doors allows her to create some of the most awe-inspiring works of art in stained glass.
